EuroTAP, the European Tunnel Assessment Programme, led by the ADAC of Germany in cooperation with 11 other European automobile clubs, all members of the Fédération International de l’Automobile (FIA) will wrap up a three year audit of safety and quality in Europe’s major road tunnels with an award ceremony identifying Europe’s best road tunnels, the launch of the results of this three year audit (2005-2007).
This event will bring together members of the European Parliament, European Commission, national ministries, top executives from the participating automobile clubs and road tunnel operators as well as national and international experts. Europe’s safest and best road tunnels will be awarded for their excellence in front of a distinguished audience and an international press corps to ensure a wide dissemination of the event.
The launch of the EuroTAP Audit Report (brochure plus DVD), will highlight the achievements, best practices and failings in road tunnel safety captured on DVD and presented in a short movie. Press material for journalists (photos, film footage and text) will be provided.
