On behalf of the Automobile Club d'Italia ACI and EuroTAP we would like to extend an official invitation to you to attend the 5th Italian International Road Safety Exhibition (SISS) where different workshops will be held during the exhibition looking at different aspects of the safety of Europe's road infrastructure. 
 
The 5th International Road safety Conference will be held in Riva del Garda (TN) from May 3rd-5th 2007 Pleasesee the short description of the event, it will bring together all key actors and stakeholders in the enhancement of road safety.  The event will be held at Riva del Garda at the International Fair Building. Your participation would be much appreciated especially in the following workshop on road tunnel safety “The future of Tunnel Assessment”, to be held, Friday 4th May (9.00 – 13.00) see agenda.
 
It is now three years since the adoption of EU Directive on minimum safety standards for Road Tunnels. The EU funded European Tunnel Assessment Programme (EuroTAP) in which we are all partners will have also completed three years of activities by the end of 2007. The aim of this workshop will be to summarize the most interesting outcomes to date and examine the implementation process of the Directive at national level.  This event offers all EuroTAP partners a good opportunity to present our work in a forum that will attract many international experts and stakeholders. The visibility impact and multiplier effect could be very high. We are happy to announce that the European Commission will also be participating in this forum, which should stimulate much interesting discussion. Please see the draft programme in attachment.
